Sodium thiosulfate large particles

Sodium thiosulfate large particles

Product Name: Sodium Thiosulfate
Product shape: white transparent crystals (large, medium and small), 3 types of granules
Storage: cool and dry place
Product introduction:
Sodium thiosulfate is commonly known as sodium thiosulfate, hyposulfite, sodium hyposulfite, sodium monothiosulfate, molecular weight 248.18, colorless and transparent monoclinic crystal. Odorless, with a cool and bitter taste.
Product Uses:
1. Sodium thiosulfate is mainly used as a fixative in the photographic industry.
2. Reducing agent for dichromate when tanning leather, neutralizing agent for nitrogen-containing exhaust gas, mordant, bleaching agent for wheat straw and wool, and dechlorinating agent when bleaching pulp.
3. Reducing agent in the chemical industry/electroplating industry, and water purifying agent in water purification projects.
4. In the textile industry, it is used as a dechlorination agent after bleaching cotton fabrics, a sulfur dye for dyeing wool fabrics, an anti-whitening agent for indigo dyes, and a dechlorination agent for pulp.
5. Used as detergent, disinfectant and fading agent in the pharmaceutical industry.
6. Adsorption and precipitation: Sodium thiosulfate can adsorb and precipitate organic suspended matter, improve the transparency of water, and improve water quality.
7. Remove residual chlorine. If chlorine preparations are often used in breeding ponds, there may be free chlorine in the water body, and its toxicity is very harmful to fish and shrimp, but the use of sodium thiosulfate can play a mitigating role;
8. Degrade drug toxins. During breeding, if a large number of parasites appear, some farmers will choose to kill insects. However, killing insects will not only change some indicators of the water body, but also leave some toxins. Especially in the case of excessive use, it will be harmful to fish. Shrimp are very toxic. Therefore, using sodium thiosulfate can mitigate the toxicity of pond pesticides.
9. Degrade the toxicity of heavy metals. In aquaculture, if you pump groundwater, there may be excessive amounts of heavy metals in the water. Therefore, we can use the ion exchange function of sodium thiosulfate to reduce heavy metal toxins;
Sodium thiosulfate also has bactericidal effects. This is mainly because sodium thiosulfate can release sulfur atoms, which has a certain killing effect on some bacteria in the water body.
Scope of application:
Water treatment, aquaculture, chlorine removal and water purification, printing and dyeing industry, wool spinning industry, dye industry, paper industry, pharmaceutical industry, light industry, leather industry and many other fields.
